Dr. Parris Lyew-Ayee is the Director of Mona, Geoinformatics Institute and a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona.

Dr. Parris Lyew-Ayee is the Director of Mona, Geoinformatics Institute and a Senior Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Mona. The Mona GeoInformatics Institute specializes in geospatial information systems, services and solutions, which is responsible for among other things, the development of the region’s first GPS navigation system, JAMNAV. He is the author of several peer-reviewed publications and consultancy reports, including the award-winning, Natural Hazards Atlas of Jamaica.

Dr. Lyew-Ayee has also been recognised by the Private Sector Organisation as one of the 50-Under-50 Leaders Shaping Jamaica; he serves on several Boards, including GraceKennedy Limited, the Bureau of Standards, National Works Agency and the Water Resources Authority.
