Honorary Distinguished Fellow at the University of the West Indies
Mr. Bruce Golding currently serves as an Honorary Distinguished Fellow at the University of the West Indies, where he is undertaking developmental research in public policy management and public/private partnerships.
During his long period of public service in Jamaica, Mr. Golding has held various positions including being a founding member of the Electoral Advisory Committee (now the Electoral Commission of Jamaica), Minister of Construction, Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Leader of the Opposition and Prime Minister of Jamaica.
At the regional and international level, he has served as Chairman of the United Nations Commission on Human Settlements, Chairman of CARICOM and CARICOM Head with special responsibility for external trade negotiations.
He was also a member of an international team of experts deployed in South Africa to assist that country in preparing for its first post-apartheid elections in 1994.
